The TSD business office is committed to providing sound financial management with a high degree of transparency. As stewards of taxpayer money, it is imperative to manage district operations and resources in a responsible manner and to place fiscal integrity at the forefront of what we do. Key functions of the business office are as follows:

In addition, the business office oversees several areas of district operations including human resources, buildings and grounds, transportation and food services.
In collaboration with the superintendent, administrative team, and board of directors, the business office develops an annual budget. The budget provides the financial support for the district's mission, goals, and overall educational experience of our students. The TSD administrative team and school directors are focused on provided the best programs for our students while maintaining fiscal responsibility and accountability to our a community.
The annual budget development process begins in the fall and continues through June of each year. This process entails teachers and administrators submitting expenditure estimates of what they will need for the following school year. These projections include costs for supplies, equipment, books, and other materials. In addition, the business office forecasts revenues, hiring needs, and district-wide expenses including fuel, electricity, water, sewer, debt payments, transportation, and insurances.
